Miss Herlitz to Become Israel Consul in New York

Miss Esther Herlitz is leaving the post of First Secretary of the Israel Embassy here to become Consul at the Consulate General of Israel in New York.

Miss Herlitz and two new members of the Israel Embassy were honored at the home of the Minister Plenipotentiary of the Embassy of Israel, Reunve Shiloah, Among those present were Henry A. Byroade, Assistant Secretary of State; General William Riley, deputy director for management of Foreign Operation Administration; Raymond Hare, director–general of the Foreign Service and John F. Simmons, Chief of Protocol. The newcomers to the Embassy staff are Yohanan Meroz who served as First Secretary in Ankara, Moshe Erell, who served with the Division for Western Europe of the Israel Foreign Ministry.
