A total of 1,115 immigrants from North Africa arrived at Haifa this morning aboard the S.S. Jerusalem. Most of the new immigrants were immediately transferred to settlements in the Negev, Galilee and Judean Plain, which had been prepared for them. A small number who needed welfare assistance were sent to the Jewish Agency’s Shaar Haaliyah camp.
