A discussion of the role of the Middle East in Western defense plans and relations between Israel and the Arab states is expected to take place at the NATO parley opening in Paris today, it is believed here.
The reason for this belief is the presence of Evelyn Shuckburgh on the British delegation. Mr. Shuckburgh, a senior official in the Foreign Office, has just completed a lengthy tour of the Middle East states, including Israel.
