Congress Gets Eleven Bills on Bias in Employment, Civil Rights

Sen. Hubert H. Humphrey, of Minnesota, introduced today a group of eleven bills designed to promote civil rights and ensure equal opportunity for employment. He had bi-partisan support from a number of Senators. Sen. Humphrey said enactment of any one of the it bills would be striking “a blow for freedom all over the world.”
