Rabbi Meir Karelitz, leader of Poalei gudath Israel and elder brother of the late “Hazon Ish,” died last night. He was 85. Thousands of persons attended his funeral this afternoon, and among the mourners who gathered near the Yeshiva Bnei Brak, were the Chief Rabbis, and the heads of many yeshivoth.
