Israel Finance Minister Levi Eshkol arrived here by air late yesterday and was greeted by representatives of the Argentine Government and Jewish institutions in this country. Mr. Eshkol will participate in the opening of the United Israel Appeal campaign in this country.
Among those present at the airfield to welcome the Israel Minister was Dr. Pablo Manguel, who only 24 hours earlier had returned from Tel Aviv where he had just completed a four-year assignment as Argentina’s first diplomatic envoy to Israel. Dr. Ezequiel Jabotinsky, Jewish leader recently named to the rank of Ambassador in the Argentine Foreign Service, was also present, as were Israel Ambassador Dr. Arieh Kubovi and members of his staff.
