Israel has opened a diplomatic offensive aimed at getting herself admitted to the Middle East regional section of the World Health Organization, a United Nations affiliate. Every state with which Israel has diplomatic relations will be asked to support Israel’s demand, at the WHO world conference opening in Mexico City next week, that she be included in the Middle East region rather than the European region, where she was placed last year because of Arab intransigence.
