Israel Budget Shows Surplus; First Non-deficit Year in History

The Israel Government’s fiscal year of 1954-55 was the first non-deficit year in the history of the country, it was revealed here today with the disclosure of final figures. The Treasury showed a surplus of 34 million pounds, having taken in 658 millions and disbursed 624 millions.
