Moslem communal and religious leaders, Jewish community leaders and Tunisians prominent in many walks of life attended a reception here for Habib Bourguiba, Tunisian nationalist leader, given by Andre Barouch, Tunisian Jew who in 1952 was exiled for his Tunisian nationalist activities.

M. Bourguiba, head of the nationalist Neo-Destour Party, reaffirmed that all “Tunisians are brothers” and the Jews of Tunis would enjoy equal rights with all other sections of the population, M. Barouch, who also addressed the reception, spoke of the “deep attachment of Tunisian Jews to Habib Bourguiba, the emancipator of Tunisia, ” M. Barouch is publisher of the French-language daily “Le Petit Matin” and a vice-president of the Tunis Chamber of Commerce.

Jewish groups in this country, meanwhile, have protested to the authorities against the reappearance on newsstands here of the French anti-Semitic sheet “Rivarol.” The publication is published in France.
