Germany Extends Deadline for Filing Indemnification Claims

The Bundestag has approved a law extending the deadline for individual victims of Nazism to file claims for indemnification for another year, until September 30, 1956. The measure must still receive the consent of the Federal Council, upper house of the German Parliament, but no opposition is expected from that quarter.
