A notorious Turkish anti-Semite, Cevat Rifat Atilhan, has published a new book patterned after the forged “Protocols of the Elders of Zion.” The book, “Secret State and Program of Conspiracy,” is replete with slanders against Israel, all Jews, the Talmud and Jewish religion in general.

The Istanbul Jewish press has urged the Turkish Grand Rabbinate to make a formal complaint against the book and author to the authorities and to ask that the book be banned. Atilhan, who during the Arab invasion of Israel in 1948 tried to recruit troops in Turkey to fight against Israel until he was stopped by the Turkish authorities, was sentenced to jail in 1952 for publishing anti-Jewish and anti-government newspaper articles. He has written several other books and many articles attacking Israel and the Jews.
