A National Roll Call designed to meet the mounting needs of Jewish education in this country has been launched by the American Association for Jewish Education, it was announced today by Philip W. Lown, president of the Association.

Reaching out into communities from coast to coast, the National Roll Call will alert local leadership to its specific responsibilities in the area of Jewish communal work; and will enlist popular support for the intensification program of the Association. Top priority in this program, Mr. Lown pointed out, attaches to an all-out effort to cope with the problem of teacher shortage that has developed in recent years.
