Major Canadian Jewish groups have presented two briefs–one on Israel and the other on Jews elsewhere–to Canadian Minister for External Affairs Lester B. Pearson, the Canadian Jewish Congress revealed here today. Mr. Pearson has promised to give consideration to the two documents.

The Israel memorandum, dealing with Israel’s security situation, military aid to the Arabs, the Dulles proposals and the Egyptian blockades of the Suez Canal and the Gulf of Akaba, was presented jointly by the Congress and the United Zionist Council of Canada. The other memorandum, dealing with the situation of the Jews of the Soviet Union, the Jews of North Africa and the proposal for reforming the world calendar through a method which would un-fix the Sabbath, was presented by the Congress.
