A second research project at the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology, by the United States Air Force, was announced here today. The new undertaking, which will be carried forward in the laboratories of the Aeronautical Engineering Department of the Technion, deals with the effects of air flow on bodies travelling faster than the speed of sound, and will be directed by 34-year-old Abraham Kogan, lecturer in aeronautics at the Technion.

Several weeks ago announcement was made that the European Office, Air Research and Development Command of the U.S. Air Force was sponsoring a project by Technion’s Prof. Markus Reiner in a field related to flight through the stratosphere. The second project is also the result of a recent visit to Haifa by a delegation of American aeronautical scientists.
