The question of the flow of Communist munitions into the Middle East was discussed this morning by the National Security Council, the nation’s top policy planning body.

Secretary of State John Foster Dulles reported to the Council on his discussion earlier this week with President Eisenhower ### Middle Eastern arms issue. The President’s thinking on the problem was conveyed to the Council by Mr. Dulles.

The Council also discussed preparations for the Geneva meeting which will take place in a fortnight. The Middle Eastern arms matter is not on the formal agenda but will be pursued privately by Secretary Dulles with Soviet Foreign Minister V.M. Molotov. Mr. ### has already asked the Soviet Minister to look into the matter and Mr. Molotov promised to do so.
