The Socialist Party won an outright victory in the Vienna Jewish Community elections which were held here yesterday, capturing 13 of 24 council seats and assuring the re-election of Dr. Emil Maurer as president of the community for the next three years. The Zionists won five seats, the Communists three and the Religious Bloc three.
The Socialists gained a single seat over the last election to take the clear cut majority, while the Communists lost two votes and the Zionists lost one. The Religious Bloc gained two. Sixty-five percent of the electorate voted.
