The District Court at Neubrandenburg, in East Germany, has sentenced to life imprisonment Erika Bergmann, former chief guard in a barracks for female inmates at the Ravensbrueck concentration camp. She had trained her dog to tear a woman prisoner to pieces when she gave the command, and at least six such cases were proven in court.
