Reports in the Egyptian press of anti-Semitic activities, in various parts of Turkey were called false here today and were attributed to an attempt by the Egyptian press to discredit both the Jews and the Turks.

There has been no attempt in Turkey to blame the anti-Greek riots here on Turkish Jews and there have been only minor incidents involving anti-Semitism in this country in recent months. The last time Jewish leaders consulted with Turkish authorities on anti-Jewish agitation occurred last October when a delegation led by Chief Hobbi Rapnael Saban called on the military authorities in this city who pledged that four books by the notorious anti-Semite Cevat Rifat Atilhan would be confiscated.
