Dr. Nahum Goldmann, chairman of the Jewish Agency executive who arrived here today, reported that the decision to open the next World Zionist Congress on April 10 was made to meet the unanimous desire of the Israel parties.

Originally, he said, the Israeli groups had wanted the Congress to be called for February, but in view of the fact that February was an important month for campaigning in the United States, April was chosen as a fair compromise. Dr. Goldmann added that, in his view, the calling of a Congress at this time was justified.
