A special campaign by the Zionist Federation of France, to raise 40,000,000 francs to aid emigration of North African Jews wishing to go to Israel, has gone over the top and will be continued for the remainder of this month, Zionist Federation officials announced here today.
At the same time, officials of the French equivalent of the United Jewish Appeal announced that, far from suffering feared losses in contributions due to the Zionist campaign the Appeal’s receipts thus far have exceeded last year’s by more than 40 percent.
