The appointment of Frederick F. Greenman as chairman of the 1956 campaign of the Joint Defense Appeal of New York, fund-raising arm of the American Jewish Committee and Anti-Defamation League of B’nai B’rith which this year seeks $5,600,000, was announced here today, Mr. Greenman, an attorney and civic leader, is a trustee of the State University of New York and was vice-chairman of the New York State delegation to the White House Conference on Education.
