Foreign Minister Moshe Sharett today summoned Gen. Joseph Avidar, Israel’s Ambassador to Moscow, home for consultations. Ambassador Avidar is expected home shortly.
Meanwhile, Mr. Sharett called in French Ambassador J. Gilbert today for a conversation. In view of the Eisenhower-Eden statement yesterday that France had been invited to participate in talks aimed at averting war in the Middle East, political circles here attach great importance to the meeting.
