The French Government has informed Syria that France believes that if Israel resumes work on the hydroelectric development project on the Jordan River it will be violating the armistice agreement and flouting a Security Council decision forbidding such work, it was learned here today. It is believed that the French note is almost identical to statements made to Syria by the United States and Britain.
