A delegation of five Orthodox rabbis left here today for a tour of the Soviet Union, the first group of American rabbis to visit the USSR since the end of World War II.
On the eve of their departure, the rabbis revealed that they had received permission from the Communist Rumanian Government to inspect Jewish communities in that country. The Federation of Jewish Congregations of Rumania invited the American rabbis to visit.
