The Conference Committee of National Jewish Women’s Organizations, the largest body of organized Jewish women, has called upon “responsible U. S. officials to resist continued Arab assaults upon the rights of American citizens of Jewish faith.”

The group, which represents organizations with memberships totalling more than 1,000,000 women, held its annual conference in New York. The resolution resulted from charges that the various Arab League governments are fomenting a series of hostile acts against American Jews solely because of their religion.

Organizations adopting the resolution included: Hadassah, Mizrachi Women’s Organization, National Federation Temple Sisterhoods, National Ladies’ Auxiliary of the Jewish War Veterans, National Women’s League of the United Synagogue, Pioneer Women’s Branch of the Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations, Women’s Division of the American Jewish Congress, and the Women’s Supreme Council of B’nai B’rith.
