The Polish Government was reported here today as being inclined to permit the emigration of any Jew who wishes to leave the country. The report was published in the evening paper Maariv as coming from Warsaw.

The Warsaw correspondent of Maariv estimated that perhaps 20,000 Jews in Poland may take advantage of this opportunity and seek emigration to Israel. He emphasized that the Polish Government is not giving any publicity in the Polish press to its intention to permit mass emigration of Jews.
