Bernstein, chairman of the American Zionist Committee for Public Affairs, and Mrs. Rose Halprin, acting chairman of the Jewish Agency for Palestine, conferred yesterday on Middle East and Israel questions with William M. Rountree, Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs.
George V. Allen, the former Assistant Secretary, participated in the meeting which lasted for more than an hour.
