The American labor movement in general, and the International Ladies Garment Workers Union, with its president, David Dubinsky, in particular, were hailed today for their contributions to Israel’s welfare at a ceremony dedicating a new Histadrut medical center.

The center, one of a network of health units conducted by the Israel Federation of Labor, is located at Kiryat Shmoneh, in Upper Galilee. It will serve 9,000 residents of that new town, as well as 18,000 residents of the area, including 3,000 Arabs. Representatives of the ILGWU attending the dedication ceremony pledged to provide equipment and supplies to the new health center.
