World Jewish Congress Discusses Situation of Jews in U.S. S. R.

The status of the Jews in the Soviet Union and other Eastern European countries, as well as a report on developments regarding the invitation to send a World Jewish Congress delegation to visit the USSR, will be discussed by the European executive of the World Jewish Congress which opened its two-day session here today.

Reports on Jewish communities in North Africa and on a visit to Jewish communities in Asia by Dr. G.H. Riegner also figure on the agenda. In addition to representatives from European countries, members of the WJC executive from Algeria Morocco and Tunisia are also taking part in the conference.
