Israel Maisels, president of the South African Board of Jewish Deputies, was honored here today for 21 years of service on the executive council of the Board of Deputies. The Council, at a luncheon in Mr. Maisels’ honor, presented him with a silver rose bowl and an inscription certifying that his name had been inscribed in the Jewish National Fund’s Golden Book.
