They will suffer the fate of the Arab refugees who have been waiting since 1948 for their future to be settled and about whom the United Nations is talking.”

Swiss diplomats who represent France and Britain in Egypt reported that property of French and British nationals and of Jews of Egyptian nationality was being confiscated by Egyptian authorities and preparations are being made to banish them Swiss diplomatic representatives are attempting to see to it that the 69,000 persons marked for expulsion are evacuated in an orderly manner.

(In Washington, State Department sources said today the Department is in contact with the Egyptian Government on the status of a number of “stateless” Jews against whom Egypt is reportedly taking action.)
