Zion Weinper, national secretary of the Yiddisher Kultur Farband, noted Yiddish poet, essayist and novelist, died here today. He was 65. The funeral will be held Tuesday.
A native of the Ukraine Mr. Weiner came to this country in 1914. He served in the Jewish Legion in Palestine during the first World War and later published poetry and a novel based on his experiences in Palestine. His poetry has been translated into Hebrew, English and Russian.
