The Jewish National Fund announced today plans to plant a Wallenberg Wood to memorialize the late Swedish diplomat who helped save thousands of Hungarian Jews from death in the final months of the Nazi regime. The Soviet Union recently admitted that Mr. Wallenberg had been arrested in Budapest in 1945 and since died in a Moscow prison.
