Jewish Orphanages to Be Transferred from European Lands to Israel

Jewish orphanages in certain European countries will be transferred to Israel en mass, Moshe Kol, director of Youth Aliyah told a meeting here today. The first orphans to be moved under this plan, he revealed, have already arrived in Israel.

Without mentioning the names of the countries involved, Mr. Kol expressed gratitude to their governments for enabling the transfer of children orphaned as a result of Nazi action and World War II. He referred to these governments’ attitude as “humanitarian. “
