Farband Labor Zionist Order today announced the establishment of a Foundation which will support educational, research and other endeavors associated with Jewish life in the United States and throughout the world. The major purpose of the foundation will be to help perpetuate and strengthen Jewish life in America, in Israel and in other Jewish communities.
Among the beneficiaries of the Foundation will be schools, institutions of higher learning, medical centers, old-age homes and welfare funds. Scholarships to encourage students to enter the field of Jewish studies will also be established by the Foundation, In addition, it will publish books of Jewish interest and will encourage creative endeavors of all kinds.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
