Agudah Convention Appeals Against Reform and Conservative Judaism

The Agudath Israel of America concluded its three-day convention at Greenfield Park with a proclamation to American Jewry rejecting any recognition of Reform Judaism and Conservative Judaism.

“Three wings Judaism is baneful to the Torah view,” the proclamation stated. “There can only be one concept of Judaism: that which is based upon total subjugation to Torah law,” it emphasized.

Resolutions adopted at the convention expressed “solidarity with the entire Jewish people in deep concern for the security and stabilization of Israel. “At the same time they called for an expansion of the Agudist housing projects in Israel for immigrants and support of the independent Agudist school network there.
