Italian Govt. Asks Compensation from Egypt for Jewish Property

The Union of Italian Jewish Communities informed Jews of Italian nationality exiled by Egypt that the first step in recovery of property and assets frozen in Egypt must be the granting of a power of attorney to an Egyptian resident. The Italian and Egyptian Governments continue their negotiations on Italy’s request that her nationals’ property be returned.
