U. S. authorities will begin detailed talks with Jordan on Saturday on types of munitions to be furnished that Kingdom despite recent Jordanian statements reiterating hostility against Israel.

Extreme anti-Israel expressions by King Hussein and Gen. Habes el Majali, Jordanian Chief of Staff, have been enunciated in the last few days. But Washington official tend to dismiss them as designed for “internal consumption” and representative of no immediate danger to Israel.

Word was received here that Jordanian Army Chief of Staff Majali said publicly in Amman that “once complete and permanent stability exists among the Arabs and as soon as it becomes possible for our Armed Forces to prepare themselves, Jaffa and Haifa will be in our pocket.”
