The Australian Government will continue to give the firmest support to Israel on the question of freedom of navigation through the Suez Canal, Richard G. Casey, Australian Minister for External Affairs, said here today.
Mr. Casey’s views were expressed in a letter to Sidney Einfeld, president of the Executive Council of Australian Jewry. The latter was in response to resolutions from the Executive Council requesting Australian support of Israel’s position on various international matters.
