A local court found former Gestapo official Erwin Brandt guilty of inflicting upon inmates of the Sachsenhausen concentration camp “dangerous injuries while in the exercise of an official function,” sentenced to only a year in jail and ruled that this term has already been served through a period of pre-trial custody.
