The Jewish National Fund office here announced today receipt of a cable from the Palestine Jewish Colonization Association to the effect that PICA had transferred to the JNF 130, 000 dunams (42, 500 acres) of land it held. The PICA action was in conformance with the desire of the late James de Rothschild, president of PICA. Some of the land is unoccupied, and the remainder is tenanted.

Premier David Ben Gurion this weekend invited the widow of Mr. Rothschild to spend a few weeks in Israel next fall. The invitation was included in a communication thanking Mrs. Rothschild for informing him of Mr. Rothschild’s decision to leave PICA’s 6, 000, 000 pounds in assets for the building of a new Parliament building in Jerusalem.
