The Rev. Edward Elson, Minister of the church President Eisenhower attends in Washington, was received by Premier David Ben Gurion. The Rev. Elson, a leading member of the American Friends of the Middle East, which has been unfriendly to Israel, is spending five days in Israel during a tour of the Middle East.

In an interview with the Jerusalem Post, Rev. Elson said that the American Friends may consider establishing a “field office” in Israel. Contrasting what he sees on this visit with what he saw on his last visit to Israel in 1952, Rev. Elson called developments in Israel “impressive.”
