U.S. Engineers Studying Possibilities for Potash Pipeline in Israel

American engineers are studying the economic soundness of a pipeline from the Dead Sea to Elath or the Mediterranean coast to carry potash directly to seaports, Mordecai Ben Tov, Israel Minister of Development, said today, adding that expert sources estimate that 200, 000, 000 tons of potash can be extracted.

He also reported representatives of Italian, English and German concerns will arrive in Israel soon to investigate the possibilities of large-scale exploitation of the potash resources.
