The Poale Agudath Israel of America announced today the start of work on archives to house all documents of the ultra-orthodox organization since it was founded in Katovitz, Poland in 1912. The archives will be housed in Israel.
Officials said they hoped to collect all material relevant to the various phases of the movement, including its leading lay and rabbinical personalities, particularly the representatives of Agudath in the city councils of Poland before the war.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
