Mayor Robert F. Wagner today proclaimed September 15 through October 15, 1957, as “Hadassah Month” in New York City, as a means of spurring a special membership drive to secure 10,000 new members in New York area for Hadassah. This is part of a nationwide drive for 30,000 new members. Hadassah now has a membership of 315,000 throughout the United States, Alaska and Puerto Rico.
