The Israel armed forces completed its coordinated exercises in the Galilee in which the paratroop units, supported by artillery and armor, demonstrated the immense striking power of the Israeli Army. Foreign military attaches, who witnessed the exercises, praised the manner in which the complicated maneuvers were carried out.

Meanwhile, a Foreign Ministry spokesman denied Syrian charges that the Western Powers had instigated the holding of war games on Syria’s borders by three of her neighbors. The Israeli spokesman called “purely coincidental” the fact that Israel, Turkey and Iraq held exercises near the Syrian border at this time. He also denied that Israel had held joint naval exercises with French units.
