The 70th anniversary of the death of Emma Lazarus, the American Jewish poetess whose paean to the United States as a haven for refugees is inscribed on the base of the Statue of Liberty, will be marked here and in many cities throughout the country by the Emma Lazarus Federation of Jewish Women’s Clubs during the week of November 19.
