Four hundred and twenty-one Jews who gave their lives for Canada during World War II were enshrined in the second volume of the Book of Remembrance, which contains the names of all Canadian sailors, soldiers and airmen who made the supreme sacrifice. The second Book of Remembrance was dedicated this week in an impressive ceremony held in the Memorial Chamber of the Parliament Buildings, During World War II some 16,883 Jews enlisted in the Canadian armed services.
