Soviet Embassy Counsellor G Kirov today conferred with high officials of the Israel Foreign Office seeking further information about a grenade found last week which the police claim was not a live grenade. The dummy grenade was found by children playing nearly 1, 000 feet from the Soviet Embassy in Ramate Gan. They turned it over to an Israeli policeman on duty near the Embassy.

Soviet circles here claim the grenade was not a dummy but an explosive missile. The police report that the grenade had been buried far longer than the three years that the Embassy had occupied its present quarters.

It is understood that the Russians protested against the fact that the policeman called the nearest police station to report the find from an Embassy telephone without requesting permission. The Soviet officials consider it a violation of the USSR extraterritorial rights.
