The endowed professorship of Hebrew culture and education at New York University has been named for Dr. Abraham I. Katsh, founder of the University’s Jewish Culture Foundation and chairman of the department of Hebrew culture and education in its School of Education. President Carroll V. Newsom of NYU announced the action of the University’s Board of Trustees tonight at the 20th anniversary dinner of the Jewish Culture Foundation in the Waldorf-Astoria.
